Functional / Project Lead for Software Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Functional Lead / Project Lead to oversee our software development projects. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between clients and the technical development team, ensuring that business and client requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of both business processes and software development.

Responsibilities:

PROJECT LEADESHIP:
Lead and manage software development projects from inception to completion.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of project outcomes.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Monitor project progress, managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
CLIENT INTERACTION:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and requirements.
Facilitate meetings with clients to gather detailed business and functional requirements.
Ensure clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide clients with regular updates on project status, risks, and issues, and manage client expectations.
REQUIREMENTS TRANSLATION:
Analyze and document business and client requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
Work closely with the development team to ensure understanding and feasibility of the requirements.
Ensure that the technical solutions align with business goals and client needs.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements specifications, use cases, and user stories.
TEAM COLLABORATION:
Lead and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address issues, and promote knowledge sharing.
QUALITY ASSURANCE:
Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet client expectations and company standards.
Coordinate with QA teams to plan and execute testing phases.
Ensure timely identification and resolution of defects and issues.
RISK MANAGEMENT:
Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations.

Experience:

8-10 years of relevant experience in related fields.
Extensive experience in software SDLC/software project management.
Proven track record in leading teams and managing international clients.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to various companies and international settings.
Proficient in working within English-based environments.

Knowledge:

Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum).
Proficient in project management principles, including PMP certification and managing budgets and timelines.
Basic knowledge of technical architecture and software development.
Skilled in presenting and conducting demos for clients, with a talent for storytelling.
